Where Little Learners
Find Their Footing

Our Preschool program is designed for children ages 3 to 4, giving them a safe, nurturing place to explore, question, and grow. It's where the love of learning begins — before the academic pressure ever starts.

Following the Core Knowledge preschool curriculum, our classroom blends structured learning time with hands-on play, creative activities, and outdoor exploration. Children build early literacy and math skills while developing the social and emotional tools they need to thrive alongside others.

With small class sizes of no more than 15 students, every child receives individualized attention from experienced teachers who genuinely care about each child's growth and well-being.

Nurturing, Caring Teachers

Our staff are warm professionals who love what they do. Children feel seen, safe, and encouraged every single day — which makes all the difference at this age.

Core Knowledge Curriculum

A nationally recognized, research-backed curriculum that builds knowledge sequentially — giving preschoolers a real academic head start without overwhelming them.

Small Class, Big Attention

With no more than 15 children per class, teachers have the space to notice each child's individual needs and adjust their approach — not just teach to the room.

Learning That Grows With Your Child

Every area of our preschool curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet children where they are — building confidence, curiosity, and skills step by step.

Early Language & Literacy

Children develop listening skills, learn to recognize letters, and begin connecting sounds to symbols — the first real steps toward reading.

  • Letter and alphabet recognition
  • Listening & comprehension
  • Rhyming & phonemic awareness

Pre-Writing Skills

Before children can write, they need to develop the fine motor control and pencil grip to do it well. We build these skills through purposeful, hands-on practice.

  • Fine motor development
  • Pencil grip & tracing
  • Drawing & creative expression

Early Math Concepts

Children explore numbers, shapes, and patterns through play and guided activities — building a natural comfort with math long before worksheets arrive.

  • Counting & number recognition
  • Shapes & colors
  • Sorting, patterns & size comparison

Social & Emotional Skills

Learning to share, take turns, manage big feelings, and make friends — these are just as important as academic skills at this age, and we give them the space they deserve.

  • Sharing & taking turns
  • Expressing feelings & self-regulation
  • Building friendships & empathy

Science & Nature Exploration

Young children are natural scientists. We channel that curiosity with simple experiments, observations, and outdoor activities that make the world feel endlessly interesting.

  • Simple experiments & discovery
  • Outdoor learning activities
  • Asking questions & problem-solving

Classroom Routines

Predictable routines give young children a sense of safety and help them develop independence. Children learn how school works before the stakes get high.

  • Following directions & transitions
  • Self-care & personal responsibility
  • Building independence & confidence

Predictable Days, Happy Kids

Children thrive on routine. Here's what a day at Little Sprout looks like for our preschoolers.

Morning

Morning Arrival & Free Play

Children settle in, greet teachers, and ease into the day through self-directed play. A calm, welcoming start sets the tone for everything that follows.

Mid AM

Circle Time & Structured Learning

Teacher-led instruction covering language arts, early math, calendar, and Core Knowledge content. Group activities, songs, and hands-on learning keep children engaged.

Midday

Outdoor Play & Lunch

Fresh air, movement, and lunchtime. Outdoor play builds gross motor skills and gives children important social time with their peers in an unstructured setting.

Afternoon

Creative Arts & Centers

Children rotate through learning centers — art, blocks, dramatic play, puzzles, and sensory activities. These stations reinforce academic concepts through exploration and play.

Late PM

Rest & Afternoon Extended Care

After a rest period, children in extended care enjoy snack time and afternoon activities until pickup. A calm, consistent close to a full day of learning.
